That’s right, I’m going on my natural hair journey again. The Summer before Senior year of high school I wanted to “reinvent” myself, so I begged my mom to let me cut my hair. I felt like to was either getting shorter or the growth had halted in some way (you can see a pic here); it was time for a change. The cut I wanted warranted me to get a relaxer because my 4C hair wouldn’t have cooperated smh.
My little cut was cute, I loved it, but I missed the versatility of my kinks and coils. After prom, I decided to transition from the creamy crack to my natural roots. I’ve been transitioning since April and so far I’ve seen a good amount of growth. However, I do have my days where I just want to cut it all off , but then I remind myself that patience is key. I plan to grow my hair out until the beginning of Fall next year, so we’ll see. *crosses fingers* In the meantime, I’ve been wearing bantu knot(s) (outs?), turbans, and two flat twists that kind of look like french braids. Trust, I am getting braids for the Winter because dealing with two VERY different textures is no joke.

Here’s the cut; 2/4 of these photos are credited to my Granny lol |

This was taken about 3 weeks ago, so you can kind of see the difference between the two textures. |
I can’t wait to share more of my journey with you all and as always, thanks for reading!
