Hello all! It’s been a minute since I’ve done a “Life” post, but a lot has been happening. I just wanted to touch base to let you all know what’s been going on in life. I can’t remember if I mentioned this already, but I’m migrating the blog from Blogspot to WordPress very soon. Yes, I know, I’ve been making a lot of changes lately. I just got this design back in March, but I have to make the move if I want to take my blog to higher ground. That being said, this might be the last post you guys see before the move.
Life Update
So, I have become the President of a brand new pre-health club called, “Sisters and Stethoscopes”. I have never held a position like this before, let alone been a co-founder of anything before, so this will be very different. My co-pilots and I have been working very hard to ensure that our first meetings and events are as impactful as they can possibly be. Even though I’m nervous, I’m glad that I don’t have to go at it alone. In other newness, I will be a student brand ambassador for Kaplan and a research assistant for a fascinating health behavior project.
Also, last week was my last week volunteering at the preschool. It was kind of bittersweet because I loved working with the kids, but I’m excited about the new beginnings. I’ve been there since last August as a classroom aide and I ended up getting more involved with childcare this Summer. This time really made me become more appreciative of teachers simply because caring for children is no easy task. They give so much for very little in return. That being said, I will always ride for educators and I encourage you to do the same.
Anyway, I guess it’s safe to say that around this time last year, I could have never guessed that all of this would be happening. I was worried that I wasn’t getting enough experience and that I was falling behind all my other premed peers, but everything is (naturally) working itself out.
That just goes to show that in the end, we always end up where we’re supposed to be.
I hope you all have a great weekend and for those going to school, I hope you have a great start to your semester!
