Hello everyone! I’m taking a little break from finals and MCAT studying to chit chat on the blog. I really miss that aspect of blogging– just opening up WordPress to write without the added pressure of worrying about views. With social media, it kind of feels like people are moving away from blogging. I’m reminded of its importance every time Instagram is down. #instagramdown anyone? Don’t get me wrong– social media is good for making connections and directing traffic back to your website. However, I’m tired of having to worry about algorithms, hashtags, and themes. All of it feels so stifling. I’m planning to stay on Instagram (for now), but I definitely want to shift my focus to my own website and Pinterest strategies.
Anyway, that’s not what I came on here to talk about. I wanted to share some things I purchased for Cyber Monday and my holiday plans. So here goes:
Cyber Monday Purchases

I took advantage of Old Navy’s 50% off sale and got some Christmas gifts (not all shown, of course) and a couple of things for me. They have a 20% off sale going on right now, so definitely check that out. I got the bedding set from Target. It usually retails for $70, but I got it for a little over $40. I’ve wanted a pullover for quite some time; I got one from Shein (đź’€) and the quality is terrible! I got the one in the picture for $10 and it’s amazing. As far as the coat, I really needed a good, waist-length winter coat. It’s $40 now, but I got it for $60. I love the color and it’s super warm!
Holiday Plans + MCAT Update
This Friday, I take my last final–Elementary Astronomy. Don’t let the name fool you, I actually had to put some work into that class. Anyway, after that is over I’m really going to be hitting the MCAT books hard. I’m still not where I want to be in terms of my full-length score, so I will be doing 10 hour study days. I’m planning on going through the khan academy content and getting through all of the AAMC content. Man, I can’t wait to be done with this test. As for the holidays, my bf and I are taking a trip to Philly. I’m so ready to take a break and explore a new city. I’ll definitely be doing a post on our trip after it’s over.
